Supporting children, strengthening families, and building connection through developmentally informed care
Kelly Schmid Worrell, LPCC/AMFT
I take a whole-child approach, considering each child within the context of their relationships, environment, and developmental stage rather than focusing on behavior in isolation.
My work is collaborative and family-centered, grounded in the belief that children thrive when caregivers feel supported, confident, and understood. I actively partner with parents, providing practical tools, reflection, and guidance that extend beyond sessions into everyday life.
With young children, I incorporate play-based strategies to support emotional expression, regulation, and skill development. I emphasize co-regulation, attachment, and strengthening the parent-child relationship as key drivers of meaningful, lasting change.
I am committed to reducing barriers to care while increasing comfort, accessibility, and consistency for children and families.
